Almost pek chek-ed on xmas eve.
A lot of things couldn't be done by myself due to time constraint. I thought that at least could have a breather for me to do some last minute shopping.. but then again, unexpected things do happen. Planning ahead, i'd have to buy xmas presents during november liao.
Was home at 9 plus yesterday coz of OT.. and still haven't wrap the present for gift exchange. Was so "touched" went one of the staff da bao noodles for us while we were rushing some orders. Need to rush so many things, and still was already quite late for the xmas dinner.
Was nice to be able to sit and relax, and watch tv. Just so happen that it was a horror movie.. lol.. Then it was mj after so so long. On the whole tiring, but great to be able to find things to joke about.
Back home again in the morning, and then was off again to grandma's place for xmas celebration in the afternoon. Food was nice as usual, and even parky got plenty.
Stayed for a while before going back home to catch some sleep. Work resumes on boxing day.. and as usual after PH, work is plentiful.. how great. I really need to rest a bit more.

Pre Xmas Eve
A picture paints a thousand words, but a thousand words do not make a picture. Either my language is poor, or it is something else. Either way, this isn't the first.. and i'm not surprised. It just adds on.
Snook-ed that i'm 16 this year.. lol.. and it was so funny to see someone younger than you talking as if he/she was way so much older.. i think i'm older than that rm lor.
Pre PH eve, already a lot of walk-ins. Was bending the metal tubing till almost 9pm, and still got last minute xmas shopping to do. So happening until no time to do xmas shopping wor.. how fortunate.
Then rushed home, and then was on my way to town in less than 1/2 hour. Reached at around 10 plus, and most of the shop are closing already. Didn't get to buy anything much, coz was too late.. in the end got something that i thought the matriarch wanted.
Ate my dinner at 12mn.. and strangely, i don't feel hungry. Just thirsty from all the running about from work and such.

What a 'Wonderful' World
Was super late for band pract today, coz saw an opportunity to re-park the kuti R1. The R1 was under my stewardship for a week coz sis was overseas. Of coz, i could have driven the kuti R1 to boonlay (and be on time).. but really, it was a bit too small for such a long journey. Also, the last vios incident (check 12/8/06 entry) got me banned from driving.. at least on the then vios. Now the vios was sold.. and in its place, the kuti R1.
And so i took the R1 round the carpark.. and found that it was indeed very light. On the PIE, i think the R1 can fly lor. Really very small.. 3m by 1.5m.. haha.. at least now my parking won't miss. So shifted the R1 to the spot designated by my sis, coz that was supposed to be the 'safe' spot. R1 is 600 cc only.. i think if i put my baobei horn in, already the engine cmi.
Decided to take public transport instead.. and so was super late. Reached at around 10.30am, and the actual practice haven't start.. Today warmed up with the big big note piece - "what a wonderful world". LOL.. how ironic.. it isn't wonderful at all with all the downturn and retrenchment lor.. and also, the 1st read with rather "what a horrific world".. haha.. i guess it's the instrumentation ba.. we really need more parts... if not it's quite empty also. Actually the song was nice.. but i didn't quite like the arrangement.. too many in unison le.. of coz, i think the piece is graded quite easy.. see the size of the notes already can tell le.
What a horrific world.. another round of retrenchment from the FIs, and another round of rally for worthless structured financial products. High notes 5, minibond series 5 and 6, and now pinnacle notes series 9 and 10. When will all these ever end? I have nothing to say liao.. apparently, something is very wrong here, no matter from whose point of view.
On a slightly brighter side, the village got its first xmas card for 2008 wor... and it was addressed to......... pakki! LOL.. and he got his own economic/xmas package in advance too. 3 bags of dog biscuits, 1 bag of yogurt for dogs(wonder what the..), and a tube of toothpaste.. all courtesy of the village chief. In this downturn, i think pakki is the most fortunate de lor.. and i still can't get over the fact that he got xmas card addressed to him.. LOL.

The Cocoa Plantation
So it was in the early december.. and on the contrary, i think it is the best time to get moving. Perhaps this, perhaps that, i'm quite tired of being forced into doing things (thankfully the villagers are very patient with me).. whether i want or not. So today, i've set a date to start my OJT (on job training) on the cocoa plantation, with official taking over after the CNY. I guess i couldn't be more ready.
The whole year and a half was so fruitful (i've exhausted so many of my hobbies).. and really, i wonder where all the vineyards and papaya plantations came about. Perhaps on lower grounds, hence things are not the same. I've given quite some thought on how things will be.. yet unfortunately, the bigger picture is not that i can foresee. Of coz it would be nice to be able to use my now cmi banking and finance knowledge in the relevant field.. but really.. they take just about any other discipline.. so 多我一个不多,少我一个不少.. although i truly believe that they could have made a greater distinction rather than just that few finance papers. If so, in the 1st place i just take the papers can liao.. why waste a good 3 years?
At least i know accounting is so much different.. even with a rojak qualification, i still need to undergo a course of a few years in order to get to being a chartered accountant. Those with relevant qualification need to work for a few years to get the 'entry permit' to getting ICPAS. Years leh.. not months. So it is no wonder to me why mis-selling of products is prevalent.
Anyway, some are just a distant dream.. not that i'm really unwilling to let go of anything.. it's just that i want to experience almost everything. That explains why i'm so clueless. But it's all alright now.. i think i've got quite a bit to learn at the plantation.. and maybe, it shall be for quite a while.

船到桥头
Nobody in the right mind would want a recession.. but when it happened, there's really nothing much an individual can do. Sadly (perhaps thankfully), i was a year late in graduating. By now, the landscape have changed so much that it is no longer easy to find the 'right' job. Nothing like this before.. not 911, not even sars.. and certainly not the 97 crisis can par. So what is it? 1929 in 2009?
As a retail investor, of coz i don't feel happy that my investments are gone like that. Yet on the macro scale, it isn't my wish to see the FIs suffer just becoz of this. Just really too bad that things had to turn out to be as such. Of coz there are certain individuals who really have to take a lot more responsibility then the general public. As such, the free market theory can no longer function under the influence of behavioral finance.
Why do 10,000 investor have to make a lot more s/h suffer? Actually, both parties are the victims - victims of this financial crisis. For who is really responsible, perhaps there is no answer. Finger pointing to history, might as well blame the ones who discover the new world.
Anyway, after the blood-letting of friday (of which IMO is over-reaction in the SR), it just proved that this is no ordinary crisis. Already on the way to 1600 pts and below, 50% of the index wiped out just a year after the bubble.
The usual crowd seems to be hibernating somewhere, even on a saturday. Something is not very right somehow.
Was at boiler today for a belated bday celebration of some sort. Of coz was very delighted in seeing my schoolmates, especially the OG of long ago. Really, i never regret joining the orientation camp 4 years ago, and i wondered whether is it possible to forge such ties in the jobbing world. Too much complications and competition, it won't be easy.
Finally having some hint on my path.. and perhaps might end up in the chocolate factory after all as a replacement. The greater future is too far to foresee, and it is my wish to be of some help after a quarter of a century. It was never the pay, for i owed too much. So long as the village (and the chocolate factory) is safe and sound, i will be very glad.
Will be very busy for the coming month due to some personal matter to attend to (i'm not getting married by the way...lol), and if i fail to attend to any bday celebrations, i will sms the bday wishes.. so no worries. Will only be free around december. And then the finale for this whole load is at NSC on 7th jan (perhaps later due to one more schedule and the outcome) the following year. Hopefully not something in the LR. In some way, it is not something to not worry about, yet it isn't something worth being sleepless over. I'm sure that 船到桥头自然直.

Sitabak
I forgot to mention how nice the sitabak was in my last entry.
Of coz, it cost 5x more than a normal cup of coffee, and almost 20x more than a sachet of 3-in-1.. so expect nothing less.
And.. it got a nice water display too! LOL.
Great ambiance with nice music. The wodden chairs are much better than those plastic ones. The table is so big that we can play mj wor..
It was a nice place to chill.. even without alcohol.

Pissed.
Damn pissed off by the prata stall outside my place.
I think they inflated the price by 20% for no reason. Damn it. GST also never go beyond 20%, not to mention the higher than usual food inflation in sg. They cook with crude is it?
And the usual cup of coffee made my blood boil.. it taste as if like they didn't have enough coffee, so they make do with adding more water.. making it super dilute. Is the food inflation really that bad meh? You tell me lor.. mee goreng with egg cost $4.50. Think what? BCM with PRAWN only cost $3.50. Their mee goreng don't even have meat lor. Nothing, just some ketchup and an egg - $4.50. By the way, it used to be much much cheaper, perhaps just a week ago. I don't understand why they raise prices by so much, so anyhow, and that they cut corners in preparations. In any case, i'm not going to go there anymore. Once is already too much. I just don't like the idea where people do biz without integrity (that includes certain styles of hard selling.. you get what i mean). You are just telling me that you show no respect to me by exploiting my goodwill lor.
It was confirmed when i asked the casher how much each item cost (they don't have a price list, so that they can anyhow bom), and he gave me a different answer for at least one of the item.. then he changed his mind again upon seeing my surprised face.. so i guess they must have rigged it. I was so so pissed that i left my coffee untouched, paid and then left for the nearby sitabak for my caffeine fix. I am never never never ever going to patron that prata stall ever ever again.
I just don't like they way they are doing this.. if you want to do certain things that might incur the wrath of people, do it at an appropriate time, in an appropriate manner. It might just get back to you one day.

Long-ed
Had a bad case of flu wor.. the nose runs and runs.. non-stop, except when i'm sleeping. The problem is, i can't get to sleep. Maybe the coming end-of-aug got something to do with it.
Just last week, the village chief's spaceship 5 kena long-ed by a similar type of driver that long-ed me a few years back. But this time round, the driver super suay.. coz the driver crashed into stationary vehicle at the traffic light.. which means.. confirm is the driver's fault le. To make matters worse, the driver crashed into another vehicle behind the spaceship 5.. a bit like proxy like that.. and hor.. that vehicle behind the spaceship 5 was a spaceship 3. LOL.. this time ho seh liao!.. 1 crash crash 2 spaceships. Erm.. some people just don't know how to drive leh. And heard from the village chief, total repair cost for the 2x spaceships might be in the 10k+ range. No wonder the car insurance co. often report losses.
Anyway, i don't get to drive anymore.. now that vios is gone too.. and that spaceship 5, i can't drive without a veh comm (+ live SWD).. that i rather opt for a bus ride.

That Cup of Tea
3am, and i still couldn't get to sleep. Must be that cup of tea, or so i thought.
Listening to the piano version of Tifa's theme of my blog at this hour with my earphone, it just felt so different.
Been quite a while since i've cleared all my modules, and yet, it seems like just not long ago.
Was with the rest of the then warlords, including ah gong zm for lunch today. Was talking about the days when we used to crub, even when we've got lessons to attend the following day. After school, we'll go to the clementi K-box (was still very new then) and sang until evening. It was so fun being a student. How i missed those days. Now that the rest of them are all working, sometimes it can be difficult to coordinate the time even for lunch. For now at least, i've been able to.. but, who knows what when i start working? Maybe for some reason, i might end up where i don't want to.
Today the village chief was not happy with one of the staff of the chocolate factory... coz that guy chute pattern to the customers coz there were "too many" of them.. "too many" by his standards, and so he was unhappy having to serve the customers.. i think he threw the chocolates to the customers wor. It was in fact, just 3 customers altogether.. not a lot by industry standards. In fact, he should be happy there are still people buying at this time of the year. Sometime ago, he already chute pattern le.. as if he was the pro like that. Maybe due to his experience, the rest of the staff couldn't challenge his position, and therefore, he was made the manager. Manager supposed to have CRM.. but he chased away customers like that. Some of the customers bothered to give feedback, and so it was known what he did (and didn't).
A new road was being built just opposite my block.. which means, they are really going to build "that hub" le. NIMBY lei.. But it seems, the pasture is always greener on the other side. People just like to compare and be envious (with no regards to any skeleton). So.. how come other people de estate kept increasing in value while ours are being made into "that hub"? LOL.. if life is fair, then we are no different to communism liao le. That said, people don't have any obligation for anything.. becoz they don't owe. Maybe it applies to moral obligations too.
That day while "chilling" at my void deck (like some ah zek like that), i saw a lady from the terrace with 4 dogs (!) of various sizes came over to the patch of grass opposite my block to let her dogs ease themselves. So inconsiderate lor.. there is a park built for them, yet they want to come over. Is our grass greener? No wonder people can step on dog poo. 4 poos leh.. how to siam? Then i saw another mini schnauzer just like pakki. Salt and pepper de.. and is female de.. and her behaviour is just like pakki lor.. lol.. all schnauzers, same pattern. She is smart too.. coz when she knows it's time to go back, she refuses to get into the lift.. haha.. so smart leh.
Pakki seems happy these days, coz he got into a nice village. Even grandpa and grandma dotes on him. The same to pakki's cousin coffee. He too got a nice village that cares and protects him. But sometimes, too doting can be quite harmful to the dog.. just the other day, the village chief open some durians (given by some friend of his) for pakki to eat, coz he was sniffing at the durian.. and that pakki liked it so much that he kept bugging us for more. The point is.. the durian was opened for pakki.. and we just happen to be able to eat coz pakki couldn't eat so much.. lol.. what is happening to the packing order? That pakki ar.. is making my mum laugh so much.. and i'm so glad that my sis chose him (ok la.. he was the only mini schnauzer left.. but who cares?).
My remaining hermies are quite well too, though i no longer fuss around them that much le.. perhaps i'm used to them doing their routine. Venti went into molting for the 3rd time in the year, and i haven't seen it for quite a while. Grande was alone in the large tank now that i've iso venti.. i don't want another case of cannibalism wor.
I'm just trying to make myself tired so that i can have a good sleep, so this entry was kind of messy.

But sometimes, too doting can be quite harmful to the dog.. just the other day, the village chief open some durians (given by some friend of his) for pakki to eat, coz he was sniffing at the durian.. and that pakki liked it so much that he kept bugging us for more. The point is.. the durian was opened for pakki.. and we just happen to be able to eat coz pakki couldn't eat so much.. lol.. what is happening to the packing order? That pakki ar.. is making my mum laugh so much.. and i'm so glad that my sis chose him (ok la.. he was the only mini schnauzer left.. but who cares?).
My remaining hermies are quite well too, though i no longer fuss around them that much le.. perhaps i'm used to them doing their routine. Venti went into molting for the 3rd time in the year, and i haven't seen it for quite a while. Grande was alone in the large tank now that i've iso venti.. i don't want another case of cannibalism wor.
I'm just trying to make myself tired so that i can have a good sleep, so this entry was kind of messy.

My Sunday Report
Was late for MG today, coz i set my alarm too early. In the end, i disabled it and went back to sleep. Woke up at 1 hour later, with that kind of shock. Reached 'checkpoint' and the 969 went off when i'm at the overhead bridge.. some people blocking my way to the busstop lor.. stand at the stairs there.. irritating leh. So i was late, but still was at hq nonetheless. At least i've made it.
Pakki also woke up early, but not early enough to wake me up. He took part in the dog walking event at bishan park, organised by class 95. He too, like his owner, was late for the event, and so the very nice bandana was out of stock =( But still, he managed to grab quite a bit of pet food there, and also made a few mini schnauzer friend. By the way, he was really quite fat lor... zzzz. All the schnauzer all mini mini de.. only he 胖胖的. Then he walk a bit, then prone down on the ground.. coz too tired le.. hahaa.. maybe really too fat le hor? In the end, mum got to carry him.. lol.. 好命的狗. (all was told by my sis and mum.. i was at eating prata at tampines)
Intended to go paya lebar de.. but the warehouse wasn't open on sundays.. zzz.. that means i got to go tomorrow le lor.. maybe go hougang mall get the hermit crab feed also.. don't know why, the whole half of the remaining feed turned bad.. super smelly lor.. like dead fish like that.. made me want to puke.. zzz. Then i tried to do something to the feed, end up i failed, thus making the whole thing worse than before.. me and my itchy hand again. Throw away and buy new one can liao lor.. go do extra things don't know for what.
While checking on my crabs, i saw the exoskeleton of the large haha crab outside it's shell, and it seems very lifeless. Thought that i might have done something wrong to have it killed... (maybe it's name was written in the death note?.. lol.. L leh) coz it looked so much like the other dead crab. On closer inspection, it was a surface molt. LOL.. after 3 successful underground molts by the 3 crabs, they want to try new stun le huh? The death rate of surface molt is very much higher.. and i hoped that it can survive this. Iso the other 2 junior crabs le... now at least no one would eat it's exo.

... then i saw this.. the pale pale crab.. but actually it was the exo. If you look carefully, you can see the pincer inside the black shell (on the left hand side)..
Had a rather nice dinner with the village next to my block, but even though so, we had to wait 1 hour plus. Super pissed lor.. coz hor, live so near still don't know how to go there early leh.. zzz.. sit there wait 1 hour, might as well watch tv at home 1st lor. But everything was compensated by the very nice seafood. (crabs included) LOL.. saw the crab and thought of my surface molting hermit.. lol.. they look quite similar lor. Then nice oysters also.. aww.. good food always make me happy.. very happy indeed. But actually, bcm can do the trick.. no need crabs or oysters.
Was back home just in time to watch "death note".. lol.. super nice, but the anime nicer.. it's now showing on cable channel 56 every weekdays at 7.30pm. Nice leh.. after food still got movie.. haha.. and no need to spend a lot also.. zzzzz.. no wonder i becoming more and more 宅le. Ar.. i want to go work soon lor.. then can have good food everyday.. maybe when i get my pay le, i'll be more 'generous' wor.. hahaa.. especially my first full-time paycheck. Well.. it depends on the pay ba.. if i get peanuts, then i treat peanuts lor.
I think i had my antenna severed nowadays... ar.. so sien. Run too much until i dropped it somewhere.. hahaha.. sigh.. who can help me find?

It's been Raining
I kept getting stuck at the busstop these few days coz the rain was too heavy liao. Rather not make myself sick trying to walk in the rain.. especially when 最美的不是下雨天. Walking in the rain is not romantic anymore.. lol.. it's quite dumb actually.
So i waited and waited.. and waited and waited.. but the rain did not stop. Was actually going to fall asleep le.. hahaa.. coz was back from lecture the other day after the zouk.. then as always, accounting kills brain cells rather quickly.. and makes me hungry also. In the end, i bored until i began to revise at void deck that was connected to the busstop.. lol.. revise leh.. what a rare sight.

Another one.
The follwing day, was at TTSH visiting grandma. She had a stroke a few days back.. and it was kind of worrying for the whole village and the extended one. Thankfully, grandma was ok le.. just had to watch the diet and such in the future.
Was out with a friend for lunch, and so told the village chief that i'll go on my own. Reached there and saw grandpa there accompanying grandma.. awww.. so sweet hor? ("我爱他 因为他不爱说话".. awww) Then after another hour, my cousins came also. Suddenly the ward like market like that lor.. haha.. coz the other patients also had visitors. So glad to hear grandma say that she can be discharged soon.
On the way back, was again stucked at the busstop.. zzz.. but i didn't had any revision notes with me.. no lecture that day wor.. then stone and stone at the busstop lor.. what a waste of time at the busstop.
That pakki hor.. really brought a lot of laughter to the village, and even to the extended village. awww.. pakki hao li hai wor.. must reward him with.. hmm.. less snacks le.. haha.. coz he eats a bit too much.. then worry that he eat until sick lor.. then jiu make all of us worry le.
But come what may.. the rain will always stop.. maybe no rainbow, but surely the weather will be fine... and then after some time, rain again... it is just another cycle ba..

恭喜发财
恭喜发财~!
This time the new year came quite fast, and i haven't get into the festive mood.. and it's already 初二. Been busy running about in 'spaceship 5' to relatives' house to collect ang bao and also enjoy all the good food. And as usual, the little cousins all grew up rather quickly (coz i only see them once a year). Finally got to see my cousin's baby.. and i heard another of my cousin getting married soon (means i got more ang bao.. lol.. just kidding). Grandma's place getting crowed le.. coz more and more members. ^^
CNY food was very nice! Too bad i had to cut down on a lot of the heaty stuffs. Drank a lot of carbonated drinks.. and the only alcohol i touched was a glass of white wine. LOL.. i still have my 50% de vodka wor.. haha.. the carton of sprite kept tempting me to open bottle.. lol.
Year of the rat must keep hamsters meh? LOL.. the news that day report that pet shops are selling more hamsters. Think is mickey mouse meh? Buy liao no need to clean cage, no need to feed him meh? Then year of ox how? Buy a moo moo ar?
That day was at vivo doing some last minute of cny shopping.. and i saw michelle chia at zara wor. She looks so tall lor.. Strangely, all celebrities seems to look taller in real life.. maybe my tv too small le? And that day at amk hub saw hui ge also.. lol.
And on the train to somewhere, something funny happened... a couple about my age boarded the train and was standing near me. Then they start to behave rather er xin-ly.. i don't know leh.. i didn't want to eavesdrop, but they were speaking as if they want everybody to know like that. Then the girl starts asking the guy, "do you know my surname?" i was like.. !! ai seh leh... hahaha... got like that one ar? Partor le then only see the face only eh? No need to know name de hor? Hahahaa... then what's more funny is, the guy ask back, "then you know my chinese name?"................. i was trying very hard to control my laughter.. luckily my stop came.. haha.. if not i really buay tahan le lor.
Sounds like sour grapes orh? LOL.. v-day coming.. haha.. and a day to stay indoors (for me that is). Haha.. just kidding la.. I can't seems to find ms right these days.. maybe i tio freeze le.. or maybe all are ms wrong lor.. hahaa.. or maybe ms right in some other country? And this coming saturday at 7pm got show "the notebook" on channel 5. Really must watch leh.. same title as my blog.. ahaha.. ya, i copied them.
LOL.. a bit divert.. and so 初二, i went to my cousin's place for lunch.. Pakki wasn't allowed to go.. haha.. and he sort of knew where we went.. so he was making some very pitiful noise (as usual). Ke lian de pakki.. haha.. coz from my cousin's house, we went to senja kaikan to bai nian (he cannot go kaikan wor). Strangely.. i thought i haven't been to senja.. but maybe i had.. i'm still not too sure. Was really surprised wor.. the village chief actually volunteered to drive my grandparents and i there. My aunt and their family also went, but their new toyota wish had more than enough place lo. But he didn't want to join us.. haha.. just drive us there. That was enough for now.

In Orchestra Today,
i sounded bad. Especially so during waltz of the flower. Maybe the flower waited for 2 weeks, and hence withered? And not only i think that i sounded quite bad... that is, quite bad le.
My tone was bad, counting was bad. The only excuse i could think of was maybe i haven't recovered.. lol.. actually i also don't have the strength to be disappointed too much. Also, the whole orchestra sounded weird too.. maybe coz there were less people around.. and as usual, the lowest brass was again, the horn. The we only had 1 cello and 1 bassoon.. no double bass, no tuba, no nothing.
And then there was something difficult to say.. lol.. anyway, it wasn't my idea.. so i decided not to say. In the end, the one who wanted to say also didn't say, coz it was really difficult to say. LOL.. no idea what i'm talking about right? LOL.. it isn't anything bad.. just a minor change of certain order.
Bo form today i guess.
Actually was quite recovering from the flu + cough + fever + headache le.. but then i studied through the night on thurdays becoz i thought there was going to be a class test the following day. But then.. lecturer say no test wor. I thought 100% sure got test lor.. coz he said that cannot owe after cny... lol.. i guess the cny mood really affects a lot of people wor. And so after 1 whole night of midnight oil, my throat burns again.. and it got worst when it rained on friday. Weather really fierce these days lor.. how to recover like that? And i lost weight at quite a scary pace.. already almost 2kgs gone like that.. lol.. when will i reach my 'optimum' weight?
Then in class on friday, a group of int students sat beside me.. i usually had nothing against them, just that sometimes they talk a lot and make some weird noises that i haven't heard before... other than that, their enthu participation in class doesn't quite bother me, not to mention that they usually fill the front few rows. (now i guess i know why they sit so near le.. coz end of lessons must get lecturer to sign ma..) Anyway, this particular group was really very mei li mao. Lecturer was passing the notes around, and this bugger sitting beside me don't even bothered to pass it to me.. why, i transparent ar? Wa lao eh lor.. i was so damn angry.. even if not enough also didn't bother to let me know. AND, it wasn't 1 time.. it was 2 times lor. And i didn't know got 2 sets of notes until the lecturer ask us to change some of the figures.. then i found out i didn't have... KNS.. this group really no manners de. In the end i still got to go to the front to get.. and then hor, they swarm towards the front as if Jay came to our LT like that.. omg.. can't stand them. Next time i better find some seats far far away from these people.
And then this pakki is beginning to act as if he is king le.. ahahahaa.. he actually slept on my bed lor. Don't since when he discovered that my bed is nicer than his.. hahahaaa.. and that is a bad thing.. coz when he wakes up, he will come and 'disturb' me until i wake up.. if not he will bark until someone attends to him.. really king wor.
5 more days to cny, and i couldn't find any cny clothes i liked.. wahhaa.. but i don't want to wear 'old' clothes leh.. lol.. i really no flair in buying clothes lor.. hahaa.. but i got flair in eating, and at the same time not putting on weight.. lol.. so when i recover, i want to eat all the ba kua i can, and drink all the cold drinks i want.. hahaha... seriously, i had quite enough of the 2 daily cans of liang teh at room temperature le. Maybe like what they suggest.. fight poison with poison? lol.. then maybe i really no need to go get my angbaos le..

Pakki's Storm
Yesterday, Pakki gave us all quite a scare. During dinner time, he was limping.. we all didn't know what happened, but he wasn't much the usual playing schnauzer. Got all of us so worried, and this incident caused a storm at the village. It seems that all are so concerned, yet nobody knew what happened... and then i heard something.. but i knew it was said coz they were concerned. And still there was this on going blizzard.. also becoz of pakki..
Pakki got a lot more attention from all the villagers.. i guess, sometimes he breaks, sometimes he makes. But at least all are committed to his well-being.. just that the method is different. Sometimes, the signs may just elude some.. but i don't think the point is to determine who is at fault. I know this always happen.. elsewhere too.
Thankfully, pakki's leg was alright this morning. I slept at 3am, and woke up at 6am to check on him. He seems alright le.. ya.. the usual playful schnauzer. LOL.. and someone else lost sleep because of him.. whahaha.. still wondering what happened.. maybe he play too much then sprained his leg? (he jumps around de.. like rabbit like that.. hahaa..) or was it that his nail grew so long that it hindered his walking? And just like a baby, he couldn't speak.. so its quite impossible to know.
Speaking of dog's nail, i got quite a scare the other time when i tried to trim. Ya.. i didn't know they had something called 'quick' - its like having veins in your fingernails like that. So, it bled and i got scared... thankfully i wasn't doing a deep cut, so it was just a minor bit of blood. But who knows nails also got veins de la? Ok.. my fault for not doing my job of finding out. So i just found a technique of trimming the nails, that is, a bit at a time. Really a bit lor.. haha.. but that is for the quick to retract, so that i can cut the nails shorter as time goes on. Actually the groomer also will do it la.. but then, they also can't do much.. coz if they cut a lot of the nail, then the poor dog will bleed a lot. The best way some say, is to take the dog for regular walks, and let fiction do the work. But then again, it's good to know they got quicks ba.
Just in time, pakki is due for his grooming. Nowadays, the shop got so crowded that they had to reject some of the customers.. wah.. business very good hor? So from 10am to 2pm, he was at the shop waiting for his turn.. lol.. and during this time, it felt strange for not having him around.. even mum says so.
I won't know what else will happen in the run of many years to come, but i'm sure pakki will get all the support he can from each of the villagers.
Pakki got a lot more attention from all the villagers.. i guess, sometimes he breaks, sometimes he makes. But at least all are committed to his well-being.. just that the method is different. Sometimes, the signs may just elude some.. but i don't think the point is to determine who is at fault. I know this always happen.. elsewhere too.
Thankfully, pakki's leg was alright this morning. I slept at 3am, and woke up at 6am to check on him. He seems alright le.. ya.. the usual playful schnauzer. LOL.. and someone else lost sleep because of him.. whahaha.. still wondering what happened.. maybe he play too much then sprained his leg? (he jumps around de.. like rabbit like that.. hahaa..) or was it that his nail grew so long that it hindered his walking? And just like a baby, he couldn't speak.. so its quite impossible to know.
Speaking of dog's nail, i got quite a scare the other time when i tried to trim. Ya.. i didn't know they had something called 'quick' - its like having veins in your fingernails like that. So, it bled and i got scared... thankfully i wasn't doing a deep cut, so it was just a minor bit of blood. But who knows nails also got veins de la? Ok.. my fault for not doing my job of finding out. So i just found a technique of trimming the nails, that is, a bit at a time. Really a bit lor.. haha.. but that is for the quick to retract, so that i can cut the nails shorter as time goes on. Actually the groomer also will do it la.. but then, they also can't do much.. coz if they cut a lot of the nail, then the poor dog will bleed a lot. The best way some say, is to take the dog for regular walks, and let fiction do the work. But then again, it's good to know they got quicks ba.
Just in time, pakki is due for his grooming. Nowadays, the shop got so crowded that they had to reject some of the customers.. wah.. business very good hor? So from 10am to 2pm, he was at the shop waiting for his turn.. lol.. and during this time, it felt strange for not having him around.. even mum says so.

Long Time No Sick
Its been a while since i last fell ill. Maybe too long never ill, hence this time it lasted quite a while. Coughing and having flu.. plus stomach getting weak also... already almost 2 weeks le, and non of the liang teh and cough drops seems to help. I guess, it must have been the late nights and irregular eating hours. My bio clock seems to be in a mess these days. Quite irritated lo.. plus cny coming soon, and i don't want to miss any of the good food.
Semester ending soon, and i am still clueless of IM.. ahahahaa... wonder what i've been doing.. sigh.. and now feeling so illish, i also won't know whether got time to study for friday's FR test or not.
Almost 15 years living in this estate - from industrial estate to the so-called 'villa' after the upgrading.. and finally there is going to be a train station! Yay~ Hahaa.. and i think is 2 of them! Yay yay~ one of them which is due to complete next year, is near one of the top JC in sg.. and the other, although that station is set to bear the name of my neighbourhood, will be near the 'up the lorry' hub.. if i'm not wrong. LOL.. 塞翁失马 leh... but then again, this newer line will be completed 2020~ lol.. by that time, i might have my own car le. If they really can improve the whole public transport system, maybe i can consider. Just imagine this lor.. from central to west need 1.5 hours.. if i drive, the most is 0.5 hours.. who will want to take some bus that seems more intent on bringing passangers on a sight-seeing ride? Just last friday, IM lesson ended half hour early.. and the naive me thought that i could reach home at least 30 mins earlier, if not more.. but who knows? Stupid buses took a whole half hour to reach, and then like every busstop is packed with half hours' worth of sardines. In the end i reached home LATER than usual... LOL.. It seems strange.. during the non-peak hour, the frequency of the bus is 38 mins! and during peak hours, you can't even get on the bus.. no wonder la.. no wonder the road is so packed with private cars.
Market is volatile these days.. and some say that it's a good time to enter.. IMO, the economy doesn't seems too strong... well, if the strategy is to hold long term, then maybe can invest lo.. provided there is no need of the cash in the near future. There is opportunity cost involved.. and learnt from IM, the best strategy for liquid traders is to hold long term.. which means that, if you don't have superior information - either through extensive research or whatever (by the way, insider trading is illegal.. but then again, the law of large numbers will always win... so who has the most money wins lor), holding long term should be relatively safe. If not, i see no difference from betting big/small. Too bad i didn't major in econmics.. lol.. because they are always right.. for whatever that happened, they always have a reason... 马后炮 i think.. hahaa... And then as if the FIs are not busy with the fallout of the subprime crisis.. there is another pro involved in a trading fraud. The amount surpasses that of the famous nick leeson.. an amount totalling 7 billion. LOL.. 7 billion leh.. is he pro or what? Amazing.

Sector Nua
As if under shock from AC.. it just moves from one end to another, and then back again.
It applies to ALL things currently, even the weather. It really takes a lot to keep on going, especially that beyond the "comfort zone".. or in other words, "sector nua".. whahahaa.. problem is, my sector is as big as the universe wor.. lol.. and it just keeps growing and contracting. LOL.. as if like sauna like that lor.. one moment great, the other moment dread.
Thankfully, nothing is permanent except change.. lol.. and it never lasted for long, whether good or bad.. well, it beats being monotonous.. i guess, this is just to contrast.
Last Saturday's orchestra practice was alright, and the horn section doubled in strength (from 1 to 2 that is).. haha. it was nice sounding, though somewhat lack of something. And till now, the two opposing reasons of being stayed much the same.. just that after FST, it doesn't matter much more. I guess, they are just seperate issues. Referring to what someone had said, "there are 101 reasons why the band is not doing well.. and it isn't just the skills of the players"..
Read on the XMRB.. and saw the map of the proposed "theme building".. aiyo.. very near my place leh.. lol.. so next time i "move house" also very near.. lol.. choy! (touchwood x3)

It was said, all "activities" to be held indoors, and also, there will be light industries "sheltering" the building from public view.. lol.. and if only seeing is all that matters. Well, what to do? It is "convenient" here even without the train.. 30 mins by car to most parts of the island.. if by bus.. forget it.. lol.
Maybe take cab lor.. and then the cab is becoming more like buses.. at least in town. Need to wait for cab at the stand wor.. haha.. wondered if crubbing finish seh le still must go find a stand or not.. wahahahaa.. then don't know alight must alight at stand or not.. lol.. then hor, the difference between them and the bus is perhaps the meter le.. lol. All becoz of a few baa baa black sheep. Might as well la.. coz those sheep gave a bad impression to tourist lor.. anyway, i don't take cab to town.. the traffic jam already can make the meter jump a few dollars le.. haha.. i prefer the train.. but don't know why, these few days at ST forum, people like to complain about the aircon on the train.. lol.. maybe they came from north pole?

New Hub
LOL.. been wanting to blog about this, but been forgetting.
A week ago, there is some news regarding the area near my home on the 2nd page of the ST.. and seriously, it wasn't any good news.. Ya.. see liao got quite BS also.. and maybe some already know.. and it was something that was to be sited near my home.
When people get new giant sized shoping mall hubs, guess what kind of hub we are being labelled? Up the lorry hub lor.. without trains. LOL.. sad leh.. when people are saying all these things about your "hometown".. of coz, there are a lot of other residents complaining.. (not protesting..).. it will affect housing price and also.. if let you live near the "dong dong chiang" place, you want meh?
I actually let this issue pass le.. until today when i took cab home.. lol.. the uncle kept bugging me with the topic.. lol.. spare me la.. haha.. mr brown also say, cabby also say, even my friend also say.. lol.
The NIMBY approach.. lol.. i rather bus stop or train station below my block.. lol.. i don't mind the sound.. hahaa.. i could use some train too.. lol.. and surprisingly, there isnt such line near my place... maybe one coming.. but the other side don't have.
These are just my opinion.. as such, it didn't really affect me much.. its quite interesting that such an ulu place made to the news these days.. lol. and its quite funny to see them on news.. so far yet so near.. lol.. just NIMBY will do.

That Weekend
For the past weekend..
21/9 Friday:
Intended to stay in school after lessons coz traffic is rather heavy at 6.30pm. The plan was to have dinner in school and then study a bit till around 8pm.. but then, discovered the whole school was crowded even at that kind of time lor.. i think they really need to expand their campus liao la.
With that small small foodcourt and the minibites, i think they really can't support the school population.. and whats more when the "neighbour" kept coming over?
Now they've changed the timetable to 3 slots, meaning more people coming in at the 7pm slot.. and then, yalor.. no place to eat.. hahaa.. like very ke lian alone lor.. and it was a friday late evening.. where to find someone to have dinner with me? LOL.. weekends are precious to people.. and at clementi? lol.
In the end, da bao at "long house" near my place and eat at home.. very hungry liao.. coz went school early to pay for school fees and skipped lunch.. was feeling quite bad la.. and then, saw something on my desk.. was a reminder letter from mindef... lol.. well.. it sure wasn't my day.
22/9 Saturday:
Was out dinning with the villagers less sis.. and we went "The Oasis" for dinner! LOL.. taiwan porridge with a lot of very nice dishes leh.. my favorite too. The reason for going there is that due to the on coming construction of the new national stadium and some water sports facilities, the restaurant was going to be demolished by year end.. so before it goes, must really try it lor.. haha.. and it was very nice la.. wondered where it will move to after this year.
Was wondering why my nano keep running out of battery.. and then i discovered, the click wheel is spoilt.. zzzzzzzzz.. very disappointed leh.. coz it was only with me for 1.5 years.. and then the pod really pok le. So did a search on the problem.. and then realised that it was very common.. so common that nobody knew what or how it happened.. it just suddenly one day decide to stop working.. and that one day is somewhere after the protection.. very nice timing indeed. Repairing one cost about the same as getting a new one! And perhaps due to that, finding one repair shop in sg is not that simple.. Regarding the product and after sales services.. i am.. disappointed. LOL.. i might as well get a new hp/camera/mp3 player and all sorts of functions all bundled in one lor.. and it just cost a bit more only.
23/9 Sunday:
Was out with those 2 from snco.. ktv-ing lor.. lol.. oh ya.. haha.. i don't think i'd like to order peppermint green tea le.. quite a weird taste la. Anyway.. also a long long time didn't go k-ing le.. so it was quite weird to hear myself la.. lol.. i think i sing in the bathroom is quite an achievement for me le...

Who Would have Thought?
Who would have thought? Just like that, Wigan actually survived relegation.
And sometimes, it makes one wonder, how real can it be..
But on the other hand, who cares? haha.. so long the team that you support won. Oh ya.. tottenham ended their season with fifth placing! Wahaha.. hao li hai ar.. yalor.. i support spurs de. Will they qualify for champions league the next season? Haha.. but between fourth and fifth, the gaps seems a bit wide.
Ya.. too much gaps these days.. got liquidity gap, interest rate gap.. ar.. whatever.
This "season" might see me pass only liao.. sigh. It really takes some determination to get out of the comfort zone to really study. I mean, we can just do what we like can we? I don't know.. but it sure feels good to get great results, yet, things seems to be at the opposing end.
Today my family celebrated "Mothers' Day" at my cousin's place. And this lucky paki got to take part in our family outing for the 1st time. Knew he's always curious and to prevent him from getting into mischief, i played with him the whole morning. In the end, i was the one who was tired.
Reached late (as usual) and we or rather paki was greeted. Hahaa.. and that paki went straight to coffee (our cousin's dog) and wanted to play with him.. hahaha.. that mini schnauzer wants to play with a spaniel.. and both of them looks so funny trying to lick each other lor.. well, in the end, it was like another bathing session.. haha.
And to prevent paki from retiring his engine, he was taken away after a few "rounds".. and sure indeed, he was tired and could stand up to human handling.. and that was the best time to do some grooming on him without getting nip by him. But i guess he's still young, and so a lot more to learn. I'm prepared to take a month or two of "no pay leave" to teach him some more before he grows up.
After sometime, he really seems much integrated into my family. And since we were back from my cousin's house, he had been sleeping.. haha.. a tired dog is a quiet dog.. at least he won't be bugging me to company him. And i think he might have a great chance of staying le.. paki's display of obedience and all his nonsensical way of greeting us really cheers us up. An obedient dog is loved by people all around.. even people who are afraid of them.
Ok.. time to study CF le.. sigh.. this weather is so bad, till i got all sorts of flu..

eRev CMI
And in the end, eRev was another horrific experience for me. Didn't managed to get most of the class and due to clashes of some modules, i could only choose between one or another. What's more.. 3/4 of my UOL classes are on the weekends - alone.
Yet being solo wasn't what i dread.. its having people asking you, "you alone ar?". Like that like very ke lian like that lor.. no, i'm ok so long as nobody notices me. LOL.. sometimes i just like to disappear.. especially now is the warm up period for the exams. Time to go hibernate or something like that. Need to forgo a lot and i think the best is to be paranoid.
LOL.. yet i wasn't. Too 'free' i was, i managed to get the carom board up to a carom table.. whahahahahahaa.. with a $20 leg set from ikea. LOL.. i think i must patent this idea le lor.. whahaha.. all that was left was the drawers and the table top. And suddenly i realised it triples as a study/dinner table as well! Waahaa.. the only thing i worried is the structural integrity of the board.. i don't know.. the wood seem very cheapo like that.

And yet again, i can see many giving that kind of 'wth' look... LOL.. DIY for fun, for leisure, for what ever. So long as i keep within budget (minimise cost), maximise utility, i can't see why it won't worth the time and effort. Of coz, dad again, disapprove of me doing this kind of thing. I think whatever i do he also don't approve de. I want to set up account for trading stock he also don't approve, i want to go help out at the chocolate factory he also don't want, i drive he also must comment.. now i know what 'wah lao eh' means. It means everything also my father. LOL.. not that i don't like him or what.. afterall, he had provided me till i was old enough.. i can't thank him enough, yet, i supposed, i don't need buckets after buckets of cold water. Hahaa.. and that was perhaps the strongest driver for my bo liao handycraft.
I think when i graduate, i can go work for bao shua bao hai job le.. Coz these few days at home, i've been doing revamping. Took off paint from my kitchen celling and repainted them, created 2 lamp shades for the living room side lamps, and planing for repainting the doors. What to do? No money to move into new unit, no money to rennovate, then everything got to DIY lor.. whaha.. sian leh. Some of the pioneer batch of installations still refuses to spoil.. for example, the very ugly celling lamp in my room..
Coz of the coming spring and of coz to welcome the pig year, i've been packing my room over and over again.. and sadly, it seems more like a pig sty.
Nowadays tend to sleep late.. i don't know, but my heart races now and then.. argh.. i don't know.. i don't know.. i don't want to know. I don't want to know why it matter so much, but it really did. I hoped i still remember the lesson learnt. But things happened so differently, contary to what i wanted it to be. Haiz.. may i be well for the coming exams ba.. i can't afford to fail again.
I guess the stress had been building up so quickly, like that of the bullish stock market. I had so much to do, though i always 'pretend' to nua.. Other than housekeeping, making some bo liao table, i still got to catch up with my school work and of coz, the coming band concert.
I can't say how much the band concert had stressed me. And i still got parts i need to practice until perfect.. and then, they shoot the concert manager arrow to me.. sigh.. i also don't know what to do lor.. haha.. count chairs and stands? EXCUSE ME.. but i'm not supposed to know who the fish is coming to perform lor. And not that i didn't asked.. but i get all kinds of unsatisfactory replies. As IF i want to do like that.. sigh.
Luckily this coming week is concert day, tickets are availble through me.. hahaha.. free de lor. Lets hoped all be over soon, i don't want to be simi stupid concert manager, neither do i want to stay after that. Just let me fulfill my promise.
We shall see.
Yet being solo wasn't what i dread.. its having people asking you, "you alone ar?". Like that like very ke lian like that lor.. no, i'm ok so long as nobody notices me. LOL.. sometimes i just like to disappear.. especially now is the warm up period for the exams. Time to go hibernate or something like that. Need to forgo a lot and i think the best is to be paranoid.
LOL.. yet i wasn't. Too 'free' i was, i managed to get the carom board up to a carom table.. whahahahahahaa.. with a $20 leg set from ikea. LOL.. i think i must patent this idea le lor.. whahaha.. all that was left was the drawers and the table top. And suddenly i realised it triples as a study/dinner table as well! Waahaa.. the only thing i worried is the structural integrity of the board.. i don't know.. the wood seem very cheapo like that.

And yet again, i can see many giving that kind of 'wth' look... LOL.. DIY for fun, for leisure, for what ever. So long as i keep within budget (minimise cost), maximise utility, i can't see why it won't worth the time and effort. Of coz, dad again, disapprove of me doing this kind of thing. I think whatever i do he also don't approve de. I want to set up account for trading stock he also don't approve, i want to go help out at the chocolate factory he also don't want, i drive he also must comment.. now i know what 'wah lao eh' means. It means everything also my father. LOL.. not that i don't like him or what.. afterall, he had provided me till i was old enough.. i can't thank him enough, yet, i supposed, i don't need buckets after buckets of cold water. Hahaa.. and that was perhaps the strongest driver for my bo liao handycraft.
