Lousy Classification

Oh darn.. i cannot access eRev.. darn.

I'm not graduating in 2007 means not year 3 meh? Siao de. Lousy logic, lousy admin. Tomorrow must call them and check le. Then what? I year 2.5 ar? Then don't collect my membership fee la.. knn.. pay 3 times membership fee not year 3 then what? Sian.

Now it seems, i'll attend lessons alone.. wah piang eh. Very ke lian de lor.. lol.. especially if it is a full day lecture.. I'll eat alone.. whaha.. kns.

Haiz.. but then again, i think alone also not bad la.. maybe only. What can i do? I not year 3 mah.. then i dunno what the memebership right is liao.

Back long ago from yishun safra. LOL.. was at party world.. (i didn't know safra got ktv de.. wahaha..) But it was so deep in from the main road.. wah.. walk and run and it took me 10 mins. Just in time for bus home.. i don't take midnight cabs le... too expensive.. haha.

And today was celebrating jh's belated bday.. lol and there were only 3 of us, all from SWE. Sasa came too, long time never see le.. haha.. but all stayed the same. We had 4 hours, from 8pm till 12mn.. haha.. but i left early to catch last bus.. so paiseh to the bday boy.. Sang a lot a lot of jay's song to kill my voice.. lol. But had fun la.. coz all anyhow sing.. lol.

And yet again, another celebrity passed away just the last sunday. Another one from korea also.. aiyoh.. don't know what to say lor.. life too fragile le. Drepression kills, accident kills, nature kills. What else? Bird flu too..

Then again, how much can things thaw? I guess we all have to learn.

Speaking of depression, a lot of people killed themselves due to depression.. i think depression very scary lor.. like dong bu dong want to go and die like that.. but sometimes, things happened in such a way that we are not able to handle it at that point in time. People didn't realise and won't be aware also.. SO, the best way is to keep oneself busy. Busy with whatever except hu si luang xiang.. lol. Like for example doing bo liao things like coverting a carom board into a mahjong table.. lol.. i guess maybe i'm the only bo liao person in the world to do that.. hahaa..

Still in the process of planning in order to cut cost. Seek help from dad and got scolded instead.. wahahaha.. coz he say i bo liao. But this is my dream mah.. anyway, i WILL do it.. and will post it upon completion. LOL..

Sigh.. the only thing that spoilt my day is the fact that i can't do eRev.. tmd toopid school.. very pek chek liao lor.. haha.

My Wishlist

Complete another item on my wishlist.. that is, having a tv set in my room. Well, didn't really go get a tv.. but transformed my pc monitor to double as a tv though the use of a "tv box".

Ok.. i must admit, nothing new here.. but having to end my nua-ing streak is perhaps something worth delighting for. Maybe.. the monitor is new. Hahaa.. finally, my pc is able to walk out of the age of the dinosaurs. The CRT finally made way for LCD.

But i took a wrong diagnose for my cpu's problem. Thought it was the graphic card making my com auto shutdown.. but i was wrong.. argh. Wasted a graphic card. In actual fact, it was the system overheating all this while. But i thought the graphic card couldn't stand the heat. Sigh. But at least, i got a 'newer', improved, cheaper and slim PCI card for my com. Consider it an 'upgrade' ba.. haha.

So now, i still didn't solve my problem. Took apart the whole CPU for clean up, especially the cpu fans and fan of the cpu itself. In the end, it extended usage time 100%. (30 mins in total).. lol.. 30 mins auto shut down.. might as well don't use. In then end, i used the most economical method.. use my room fan to cool the unit.. lol.

After the tv set, the next thing is.. mj table! Hahaha.. and the more i short listed the materials, the more i find this 'project' is having a negative NPV. LOL.. the legs itself cost $60! Double the price of a table itself. LOL.. consider i still got to cushion the surface of the board, drawers, and also repaint the sides.. lol.. DIY.. isn't it supposed to save money? Hahhaa.. i'm just being stubborn. More of wanting to make something to order. Really mah.. normal MJ table looks like kopitiam table lor.. whahahaaa.. i want something that can fit in my room.. (i think i watch too much home deco survivor le.. ) Everything also want to have a theme.

LOL.. seems very eng hor? Yalor.. CNY mood le mah..

In Daze

Home from downtown east, and it's been a long long day.

Woke up late on saturdays as usual, and feeling very tired, as usual. Due to 2 very free days (thurs and fri), i usually got defeated by the Z monster during the early evenings. In the end, i couldn't sleep at night, making my sleeping hours from 4am to 11am the following day.

As such, i'm in a dazed mode on weekends. Not only that, i tend to be late for saturday's FI as well.. coz i watch 'mythbusters' till 1pm, then set off from home, and then i miss the critical bus as well.. haha.. as a result, late. Today i saw 52 just gone before i reached the busstop, so tried to give 74 'another chance'.. haha.. but damn the toopid car that used the bus bay to as a waiting point. One woman driver parked her car soooooooooo darn near the bus stop, and expect the bus drivers to squeeze past her car.. and in the rain somemore, making it very dangerous.. coz the bus driver got to overtake and then move in again.. in the end, most of the buses were quite off the bus shelter.. IN THIS DARN HEAVY RAIN.. eh pleaseeee la, want to park, can don't park so in or not? scared people bang from behind ar? Then not scared bus bang from the side liao la? Kns.. i was so tempted.. so tempted to take the pic of the inconsiderate driver and post them on stomp.. haha.. but then i realised, my lousy 6260 cmi de.. i doubt it can deliver in wet weather.

So i took the ride, pek chek coz i got to get drenched just to get on the bus, and also because the 74 keep stopping.. rainy days, what to do?

Reached school already almost 2pm.. whahaha.. then i missed the critical slides.. in the end, whole lecture don't know what he talking about.. simi long short, short long, hedge here hedge there hedge everywhere. Got out of the LT more blur then i went in.

Then it was off to band at tampines st 82.. super far lor.. haha.. the whole train and bus ride took me around one hour or so.. and so i excused brain once i got on the train. Perhaps daze too much.. i missed the tampines station.. haha.. and reached pasir ris. And then i got off at pasir ris.. smlj la.. hahaha.. supposed to wait inside de lor.. (for those in daze like me, pasir ris is the end of the east-west line.. which means no need to cross the platform to take the reverse direction train back).. haha.. not that i don't know.. but don't know what i'm thinking.. perhaps daze too much le.

Finally reached HQ, and discovered i was late. Zw and jer were already there.. and today, jacomo did the 2 gakai songs. LOL.. i can't make it lor.. the more i played, the more i feel that i better give up music. I couldn't match them in volume, nor in skill. Not that i'm competing.. but i just want to blend.. and then since they are doing music professionally, i am supposed to follow.. but found that i couldn't.. the most i did was buffer. Sian 1/2 and the conductor kept praising the horn section.. and i and perhaps the all of us knew who to give credit. Sigh.. felt so useless for once.. wondered what's my role. Free rider?

Concert coming soon.. finally.. felt so much to leave after the concert, but jh is coming back.. haha.. at least got one more kahkis around.. but maybe i want to take a rest.. maybe the road to professionalism is not the one i want to take. Let them, and leave me alone.

Finally band was over.. and i ended early. So i went to downtown east to celebrate jeremy and syl's bday. Reached white sands and saw sher in 7-11.. haha.. so qiao hor? LOL.. Food was great, heard was the same one from camp D.. but it tasted quite different. Perhaps i was hungry then? But i ate a lot a lot today.. coz hungry usually after band pract. Haha.. eat till i can't sleep now lor.

And as usual, downtown east is so east that i got to run before midnight to catch the last bus 88 back.. reached le still got to walk 15-18 mins before home.. (sorry that i said that walking 15 mins is short distance.. ) .. lol.. reached home very very tired le lor.. and still got the royal edict for tomorrow's dim sum breakfast with grandma.. waaah.. haha.. cannot chute pattern.

But i'm less wilful le la.. cannot means cannot. Play is important.. but other things are important too. I'll learn, and i've leant.

Still got a lot more to accomplish tomorrow.. finally a day to get me out of my house for once other than lessons and band... think i must stop nuaing le.

I'm so Glad

I don't know, but it seems scary to have someone dear to go missing one day. And just like that, the thought of not knowing what happened can really wear someone down.

Some happenings to my friend, and thankfully, all is well now.

I can't imagine, so much i had taken for granted.. everyday is like, sleep, eat, play dota, nua, play maple, nua again, then sleep. I mean, though it's mundane (and boring), having the state of wellness to do all these bo liao things is already quite a challenge itself. I'm grateful that i still can afford to waste my time like that..

Just be glad i still can get pissed at small matters these few days.. lol.

Why Again?

DOTA in school wor.. hahahaha. Darn lousy server lor. But i think it's good la.. at least no need to pay? LOL.. so dota with 4v5.. wow.. 1st time see so many people DOTA together.. however, i only know 5 of them. LOL..but i guess it isn't important la..

But then, the more i played, the more worried i became. Coz i got 5 units that i must clear this year. Sian lor.. 4 units already cannot handle.. must handle 5 units? LOL..

Been busy doing a lot of DIY at home.. haha.. coz new year coming.. so things must look new lor..like the missing cover from the living room side lamp, peeling celling paint, mis-matched colour of our doors with the 'newly' coated walls and of coz, a proposed carom mahjong board..

Muahaha.. i think the plan itself already failed my wallet. Coz the table legs cost around $60 for 4 of them! Hahaa.. i think go buy a new mj table is around $30+ nia lor. But perhaps, the using the carom board as a mj table might gave it a new lease of life? Haha.. then can use as kitchen table also.. wahaha.. of coz, i wanted to keep myself very busy by doing bo liao things.. if not i do even more bo liao things again how?

Just that sunday, i was reminded of something.. as a result, i didn't sleep well for the past 2 days.. lol.. really it was what was said, but i just don't know why it was said only.

LOL.. very chim hor? Hahah.. yalor.. i guess if i happen to come across this entry a few months down, i also don't know what i'm talking about. But nevermind, can post 'draft' entry ma.. hahah..

And the more was said, the more vexed i become.. haiz, why again?

Once Again..

So long never update, i think i see cobwebs le. But then again, i don't want to turn this to a journal of mundane tasks.

Mundane it might seems, but i'm rather busy, especially with the comings of mock exams and SNCO band concert.

Paranoid i seems, and paranoid i am, i feel that i've run out of time and money to keep things going. Of coz, the state of focus seems missing.. maybe focus too much in band le.. then everyday also seh seh.. like zombie like that.

I just need to deliver this time round.. perhaps it might be a long long time before i decide to take up music on this scale again. Of coz, the reason for this is that, it wasn't what it used to be, and never will it be the same. As such, who could ask for anything more? Even if there is a greater goal to be achieve, i really couldn't see it at the moment.

Yet being the 1st time performing under mr jacomo, i think there is a duty to deliver.. which means practice and practice.. with only less than a month to go.. i really don't feel comfortable.

KIVed a lot of things.. and a lot of things need to be done. Hindered by the freak weather these days, it's hard to find a fine day on my free day. The others are all lectures and band and maybe a tinge of studies.

And.. DOTA entered my list of mundanities (there is such word ok.. lol), which means that i'm having less time for everything else. Just yesterday, was with my schoolmates for a 5 hour DOTA at bugis.. lol... i think we all really play until siao le.. and at a $2/hr rate.. well, it's cheaper than weekend movies. Of coz, with 'pride of success' and the 'humiliation of failure'.. (lol.. ok i'm exaggerating) But DOTA is fun! haha.. though i know i'm like a few years behind le?? Hahaha.. slow la..

Ya.. very paranoid about spending too much these days.. and i can't imagine myself not crubbing le.. haha.. not only that, i also stopped drinking le.. lol.. save a lot of money, and taking care of my health at the same time. The only thing not cleared is sleeping late. No, i don't like to sleep early, but been so busy for tasks weekly, i think it won't be a good time to fall ill.

LOL.. and i discovered that things are what they will be.. so que sera - whatever will be. Or not really whatever.. but accepting how things are supposed to be.. i never want to make any mountain le.

Due to financial constraint (just tio sucked blood of $2525), i think staying home is very economical.. haha.. and 'sadly', i'm someone who can nua at home the whole day (maybe even whole week) and don't feel bored leh.. hahaha.. and for this 2 weeks of january, i've spent less than $75.. lol.. and i really don't like going out, especially in this range of weather.

And another packet of blood is getting ready.. coz eRevision is coming.. which means.... ya.. the mocks are coming. Sooner than you can say 'gong xi fa cai'. $200 plus i suppose, and there goes my savings for a LCD monitor.. Need to do up my cpu and then my house can play LAN game le.. haha.. just bring laptop along and aiseh!

CNY coming, and need to buy new clothes again.. strangly, i don't feel the festive season anymore.. perhaps really not very fun le hor? Hahaha.. count down? i rather stay in my bed and count sheeps. But but but.. CNY.. of coz must go bai nian la.. haha.. if not waste angpow leh.

Of coz, i need to polish my mj luck for the coming CNY.. haha..

Tour @ SP

Today after MSM, i went SP to look for one of my bandmate schooling there. Sad to say, i've been to NTU, NUS, SMU, NYP, NP.. all except SP and TP. Maybe i've been to SP for concert, but i forgot ba.. Hahaha.. went in there then a bit lost lost.. and i think SP is sooo nice lor.. anyway, nicer than my school that is. Very large campus.. a lot of foodcourt, got KFC and pizzahut.. hahaaha.. if i study there, i confirm fat one.. and confirm broke.

I liked their CCA rooms, very nice coz all CCA gather in one building, then all got 1 big panel of glass window.. very sud lor. But too bad la.. i think i chose the wrong path le.

Haha.. nua until so much.. nua until i got to repeat. Sian.. and my school fees are inducing me to run at the bank. Btw, one of taiwan's bank is having a bank run.. aiseh.. got things to add to my FI essay le.

But now i need to practice my LBO essay.. too bad Durai's case like cannot be incorporated. Tomorrow LBO test leh.. i feel like duang-ing lecture.

2nd week of january.. and i buay tahan the bus crowd le.. Bus service like cannot make it de.. I set off early, the bus came late.. i set off late, the bus left early.. simi kuku bus service? Then got bus no space.. still want me to pay adult fare? I say unfair lor.. no wonder more and more people want to get private transport. That day my friend just niao the bus company.. and i still help them.. now they make me dl also.. make me wait 1/2 for a bus.. then the bus driver drive like never release handbrake like that.. kns.

And since some don't know whatever class starts their lesson, the school is showing signs of overcrowding.. crowd until the overhead bridge also jam.. haha.. management school really know how to manage their resources hor? I don't want to say le.. i really very sick of that place.. just be grateful that my degree is from london. (when i graduate) But who knows? Maybe this 4th uni's degree might worth more in the future?

And today 8pm on channel 8.. i saw a lot of familiar faces! Muahahaha.. my sec school band alumni people took part in the home deco survivor.. lol.. i don't know what to say.. i mean, seeing the people you know on tv.. lol.. But in the end, they didn't win the $6000 worth of furnitures la.. so ke xi.

But i won't take part in this kind of tv variety de lor.. so malu.. haha.. but i'm sure my mom would.. haha.. she is the typical 'auntie' de lor.. (hopes she don't see this..) I think must 'upgrade' her to tai tai le.. haha.. send her for tai tai conversion course.. lol..

The makings of a tai tai:-
1) must have branded handbag and purse (imitations are not acceptable)
2) must have a lot of gold and jewellery accessories and wear until they look like christmas tree
3) must know how to play mahjong (and win)
4) either drives or have someone chauffeuring them in luxury cars
5) shops at departmental stores in some shopping centres instead of 'shop n save'

Haha.. just kidding..

My Cousin got Married le

Congrats to my cousin chereen and her husband~! May bliss be with them always.

7th of january 2007 - my cousin got married le.. And she's the 1st in our generation. So xin fu hor?

Dinner banquet was at Grand Hyatt! Wah.. haha.. i didn't realised till today.. coz i didn't ask mom where we are having our dinner.. but hyatt leh.. lol.. and grand one somemore. Everytime can only walk pass during shopping at scotts.. now got chance to enter.. of coz excited.

Then got to see so many of my relatives and cousins. Don't know since when, my family have been going to grandma's place less often.. till the point that we only get to meet up twice every year. And changes are plentiful every meeting. A lot of my younger cousins grew older, and especially the younger ones.. i supposed, they don't even know who we are..

LOL.. but nevermind, CNY coming soon.. haha.. then can meet up again. Got mj 'showdown' to watch, got liquor tasting and a lot of good food.. haha.. looking forward to CNY. (ya.. got red packets also.. haha..)

Huan Dao Zui Zui Zui~!

Wasted my time at FI again. Wasted my time at band today. Wasted my whole saturday.

Tuitorial for FI today. Sian lor.. answer given and the lecturer just read nia.. and whats more vexing is that those answer on the tuitorial couldn't be found on lecture notes. Which made me wonder.. what on earth am i studying the notes for? Since they ain't of any use.. i think i'm just wasting my time.

However boring, since i've made my way to school, might as well try to listen. Another boring topic which i might not attempt during exams.. but who knows? Its better to prepare more.. just in case.

Yet till now, i've missed.. or should i say i've intentionally skipped 4 lectures. LOL.. which is a far cry from my previous year. I've lost count.

Supposed to stay back to study before going to band de.. but i guess i won't be able to. LOL.. the abacus calculate wrong le. I thought that by going to school, i'll be nearer to my band venue at boonlay.. but 'human count lose to heaven count'.. the band once again shifted to their tampines base.. walao.. sian 3/4 lor. Every saturday is going to be 'huan dao zui zui zui' le.. from thomson to clementi.. then from clementi to tampines.. then from tampines back to thomson again.. sian.

And tampines no direct bus! Kns.. then got to take bus to yishun then transfer to marymount. Zzz... another half the island travelled. Haiz.. no car is like that de lor.. then if want to have car how? Go do bank sales.. then hoot until messy messy then can bring in big money.. if not, work part time can le. Can survive, but no life.

But workwise.. have to wait till after i've finished my papers.. now think le also no point.. skali all buang then got to da bao again.. hahah..

Band today super boring.. Haiz.. i should have gone sim lim to get my graphic card, then switch to bugis for DOTA. But.. i gave up all these for the band.. then all the ask us to do is.. practice on our own. Ok la.. i at home no practice.. but no need to travel so far to practice de ma.. boonlay leh.. not boonkeng. (boonkeng also far la.. haha..)

What to do? I think some things have to be done.. if all don't come also sian.. so might as well go lor.. well.. today is 100% more people.. lol. At least got 30+..

I think, after the concert in feb, i'm going to quit. Sell my 'lao po' away then no need to go band le.. muahaha.. think too bulky le lor.. want to bring to boonlay also difficult. Not as if i have a car like that..

See how lor.. got 1 'cai tou' going to offer me half the price for my 7 years old f.horn. LOL.. but then students can only pay by installment.. kns.. if they don't pay then i pok ar? Got credit risk wor. But 50% after deprciation.. very good price le.. very tempted to sell.. can clear my room of things too.

Been at home nowadays. Coz RELC sent their yellow forms over.. which means i'll be poorer yet again by $2.5k. Ya.. i pay my own school fees lor.. which is.. damn expensive. After this year, have to really go work like mad le.. if not, maybe got to borrow from ah long le. Which means, i might be quitting crubbing for good. Haha.. might as well.. crubbing seems damn boring le lor.. for what reason i also don't know.. there are so many nicer things to do.. and they don't cost a dime.. For example nua-ing at home.. muahaha.. watch midnight show also cheaper lor.

But then.. i don't like to travel half of singapore every weekend.. so sian.

Stock Watch

Today, Genting Int. went up again.. Too bad i didn't have my own account yet. Might as well, the STI already crossed the 3k point.. which means, the economy is good.. but it won't last forever. The higher it is, the less potential it has, the harder it can fall. Though not every stock will fall with the market.. but in general, there is the trend.

Been tempted a lot of times to enter, but like that go in confirm die very fast. There is no free lunch in this world, must research, then must see the environment too.. then must also have a bit of luck, then will be able to have a successful investment. If not, go in like that look like small fish, very fast let big fast eat finish..

Of coz, not all is well for all investment. They always say, never put all your eggs in one basket.. so, actually how many baskets we need? That is - diversification. Over diversifying is just plain bo liao.. haha.. for there is something call diminishing return. But having the right number of basket doesn't mean that the eggs all won't break at the same time. The point is, we have to choose different kinds of basket. That is, choosing baskets that are not positively correlated. So when one moves up, the other moves in the opposite direction.

Nowadays, i also find myself negatively correlated, or even to the point of uncorrelated.. not really that bad.. coz this way, all the eggs won't break at the same time.

So much for eggs and baskets, i'm off to have my egg prata le.. haha..

Wah sian leh.. tomorrow school starts again. 2007, supposed to be a new beginning, but i felt no different from a a days before. Haha..

New year's day was the same as always, lol.. like no difference like that. Went chiong qing for steamboat.. again.. haha.. like endless like that, but i think i eat until a bit sian le..

As i get older, a lot of things became sian.. celebrate also sian. I still prefer to nua at home lor.

Since the other mj outpost came out, i've been very busy trying to keep the fillings of my wallet intact. LOL.. though luck isn't bad these days, but i need a lot more time to get my environment ready. Been packing my room since xmas, just to prepare myself for exams. A bit early, becoz all i've read 3 weeks ago i've already forgotten, but then after a second reading, i remembered a lot more. I guess, studying is all about puting the effort.

Shifted my laptop back to my room, so i won't be switching between laptop and tv, and end up getting stuck. My room got more notes.. haha.. so if i get sian with online.. maybe i'll get some notes out to read.. haha.. maybe only.

Today went toa payoh with village for breakfast. Went for dim sum but dad and sis got different suggestions. In the end we ate at 'fortunate' (xin fu yin cha).. haha... the yum cha became my lunch.. coz i woke up at 11 plus. Reach there already 12 something le. Very nice lunch i had, 1st time there but i was impressed. All the "ha gao, siu mai, lor mai gai".. wahah.. got roast duck and shark's fin soup too.. a lot of variety. You pay for what you order, a bit like those on hk drama. The thing is that, the price might be a bit steep.. haha.. but nevermind, coz not i pay. Got soft shell crab too.. but i still like sakae's.

Reached home late noon, and 1st time played mj with the villagers. We didn't have a mj set at home, only a small small display set and a carom board.. haha.. but that'll do. Laugh until want to peng lor.. hha.. and in the end, dad won as expected. Played half a round coz the condition really bad.. all played until backache. I also won a bit.. muahaha.. time to get a decent mj set le.

Argh.. so sian.. tomorrow got to go to school le. Zzz...
