Almost the end of october.. 8 more months till the final papers. Sad to say, i've skipped my 1st lesson of this sem.. not surprisingly, its IM. I also don't know.. seems to be in a daze these days.. perhaps of 2 consecutive nights "bad dreams". (no.. they are not considered nightmares.. just bad dreams)
Too much mystery these days.. and it doesn't even concern me.. haha..
Other than school work, also trying to make "some changes".. should be about a month or so le.. but still can't see much difference.. whahaha.. maybe not trying hard enough.. maybe i lag too much already.
Felt something strange these days.. perhaps the result of much inquisition.. and got a recoil of some sort.. and then it triggers so many things off.. i think i lost it somehow. The silencing, some excess realisation, and then it was that. Well.. at least its better already.. lol..
Was into "facebook" these days.. lol.. a bit lag also hor? Haha.. too lazy to set up account le.. anyway, was much into horoscopes and tarrots.. lol.. and sometimes, they are just so right.. makes me feel that at least someone, or something understands.. lol... but in reality, they just anyhow humtum in an ambiguous way.. just so that its more palatable. Somehow, seeing an exact word that can best describe.. i think i'm willing to be reconciled.. at least for now.

Saturday morning, and i'm already awake at 6am.
2 consecutive nights of similar dreams plus another source is enough to trigger..
And omission alone wasn't enough, it was once again shattered.. seriously, i didn't want to have anything to do with.. i know i will anyhow pick up anything.. but sigh.. this is not something i want to pick. Argh....... perhaps its a nightmare come true? I shouldn't have anything to do with.. i know.. but sometimes it isn't easy.
Wondering what purpose.. sigh. Hope it'll be over soon.

My Coenobita Rugosus (Ruggie)
Till now, they don't have a name.. haha.. and also, their gender is unknown.. lol.. so i also don't know what name to give them.. anyway, is it really important? They won't respond to their name lor.. haha..
The species of hermit crabs i have are Coenobita rugosus, also know as ruggie for short. They are land hermit.. meaning, they can drown in water.. lol.. heard of crabs drowning in water? And btw, you can't cook them for pepper crab la..
So here are the ruggies living in my tank:
The "original ha ha crab" .. haha.. also the 1st hermit that got here. (My birthday present from SNCO) The biggest of my tank and the one with all his limps intact.. plus he carries a painted shell and also.. cost the most.. (although i didn't pay for it la.. ^^v) Likes to climb the fake coconut tree now and then and IMO, seems to be suicidal after the death of his companion..
One of the two hermit i got from serangoon north (PM) for $8 each.. uses a natural shell (unpainted)and often hiding in the hut.. i didn't get to see him moving much.
The other hermit that i got from PM.. the smallest of the lot and seemingly the weakest.. i think if the water dish is too deep, he might just drown lor..
My tank setup. Consist of: 1 freshwater dish, 1 salt water dish, 1 shell food dish, 1 coconut hut, 1 hygrometer, extra shells, coral sands and of coz, the ruggies themselves.

For the Crab that Crossed the Rainbow Bridge
Just yesterday, one of the hermit changed its shell.. lol.. was quite surprised to see it, and it changed to a much "nicer" shell IMO.. haha.. sadly, it was a painted shell.. hmm.. i'm still against the idea of using painted shells coz the QC was rather bad.. there are paints coming off here and there lor.
The hermits are doing quite well.. although want to make sure that the habitat is suitable for them before doing much more.. lol.. and i don't know.. there is so much from PPS that they might just die like that.. already, 2 of the smaller ones had lost one of their legs at the pet store le.. so i got myself 2 paikah crabs.. but no worries.. if they pull through their 1st molting, they will have new legs le! That is, hopefully they can la.. its just so stressful for them that it might kill them.. lol.. never knew they get stressed up easily wor.. haha.
So yesterday was again at boonlay for band pract. Been away from band for a month and away from practicing the horn for as long. As usual, the initial burst of energy was quite strong.. lol.. so i played quite a few tunes at the basement there.. lol.. i like the echo sound there.. very nice.. and for once, i can reach the high Bb quite comfortably.. lol.. no lemonades this time.
Guess i played too much le.. and i got tired playing during the actual pract. Shocking was, the tone was quite weird.. i guess its becoz of the instrumentation ba.. the lowest brass was me and then only support by a double bass. Tuning was quite horrible too.. i don't know why.. just can't see to find a focus point.. nowhere to listen to.
And so many of them asked me how the crabs are doing.. aiyo.. i so paiseh lor.. tell them already one went up the lorry le.. zz. For the remaining 1 plus the other 2, i will try to do whatever i can lo... so.. only time will tell.

生日快乐~!
十月十八我生日这一天.. Yay~ and i'm another year older le.
Age seems to be "catching up" le.. haha.. and i'm still schooling.. a bit overage liao lo. LOL.. thankfully, i'll be graduating in the coming year, and ready to gain full financial independence. (meaning i can buy more expensive items such as cars and such.. lol.. and of coz, pay for my own insurance.. and other misc bills)
I can't deny, there is still much of a child in me.. haha.. i played a lot, and also seems to be condoning myself.. haha.. yet, quite a bit have changed. Of which, certain things that i indulged myself in, but without much justification. Slowly, these instances are becoming rare.. haha.. of coz, it took 24 years in the making wor.
Birthday was without much elaborated celebrations, but was really glad from all the well wishes.. awww.. so nice of you all.. xie xie ni men~ =) Amid, a tinge of warmth in those wishes, just nice for the ominous weather these days.
LOL.. and i had my "instant longevity noodles" just last night.. which was really cup noodles only.. haha.. of coz, year in year out, it was celebration in the village, or at least a sumptuous dinner with the villagers. This year, i prefer something simpler.. just a fare is already a lot.. lol.. can even save on the cake. No, i'm not trying to be pitiful here.. haha.. i'm actually quite happy this year.. just wanting to maybe quiet things down a bit lo.. really, its the mood that counts, not the mode.
I guess, feeling different is the signs of aging ba.. haha..
And so, i've compiled a list of other signs of aging.. IMO that is:
1) you drink kopi instead of kum zuwee (soft drinks)
2) you eat at kopitiam instead of mac (eat until sian le)
3) you watch 早安, 您 好! (or 黄金年华 if you are older.. hahaa..) instead of kids central
4) you play less computer games (relatively)
5) you stop having elaborated birthday parties (every year also almost the same leh.. haha..)
6) your number of presents decreases, but the value of each present increases (i prefer quality over quantity)
7) your hobbies get sophiscated (keeping hermits, stock watch etc..lol)
8) your spending increases
9) your number of pets decreases (up the lorry lo~)
10) your beer belly (if any) gets bigger....
Haha.. just kidding la.. but some of them are quite true though.. lol..
Argh.. so tomorrow is supposed to be a PH (my version of the calander).. but got to go school for lessons.. lol.. and worst still, IM tutorial leh.. hahaa.. i think i better get ready "other things" to do, if not, i'd be wasting time day-dreaming.

New Hub
LOL.. been wanting to blog about this, but been forgetting.
A week ago, there is some news regarding the area near my home on the 2nd page of the ST.. and seriously, it wasn't any good news.. Ya.. see liao got quite BS also.. and maybe some already know.. and it was something that was to be sited near my home.
When people get new giant sized shoping mall hubs, guess what kind of hub we are being labelled? Up the lorry hub lor.. without trains. LOL.. sad leh.. when people are saying all these things about your "hometown".. of coz, there are a lot of other residents complaining.. (not protesting..).. it will affect housing price and also.. if let you live near the "dong dong chiang" place, you want meh?
I actually let this issue pass le.. until today when i took cab home.. lol.. the uncle kept bugging me with the topic.. lol.. spare me la.. haha.. mr brown also say, cabby also say, even my friend also say.. lol.
The NIMBY approach.. lol.. i rather bus stop or train station below my block.. lol.. i don't mind the sound.. hahaa.. i could use some train too.. lol.. and surprisingly, there isnt such line near my place... maybe one coming.. but the other side don't have.
These are just my opinion.. as such, it didn't really affect me much.. its quite interesting that such an ulu place made to the news these days.. lol. and its quite funny to see them on news.. so far yet so near.. lol.. just NIMBY will do.

All about Hermits (Hermit Crabs)
So that was it.. the crab really "up the lorry" liao.
After a few days of "intensive research", it isn't as easy as it seems after all.. which new "pets" comes new responsibility.. lol... and new spendings too.
Today went PM to get the stuffs.. lol.. knew of this place through some forums.. haha.. and i was quite surprised at the number of items they offered.. so many of which i have no knowledge on.. especially in the area of aquariumics (dont have this word).. lol.
Fortunately, the items didn't cost as much as i thought it would be.. my funds are tied down.. so didn't have much to spend too.. lol.. i got everything i needed, almost everything, plus companions for the painted shell crab.
With regards to painted shell, i seriously object the use of them.. it just seems so unnatural.. even more so when the shell is painted a happy face, and inside is a dead crab.. what the crap.. but the real issue is, it is not natural at all.. they are not clowns leh. As a result, i'm now doing shell hunting.. haha.. nope.. not collecting.. coz i know there isn't much to be found here.. maybe msia got..
Found a website selling shells online.. lol.. in USD somemore.. with the exchange rate in favour of SGD, i'm so tempted to place an order lor.. lol.. maybe wait and see how.. see if i can find any selling in sg. Checked PM's stock, the have small ones for the baby hermit.. for the larger ones, need to really find le..
Another issue is the drinking water for them.. they need BOTH sea and fresh water.. sea water does not equal to water + salt, neither do fresh water equal to tap water.. both required some processing.
Next is the sand.. i didn't know they have grades for them too.. (i never keep fish as pets before).. it refers to the grain size, and it affects the molting process of the crabs.
Then there is the humidity problem.. must mist them now and then, if not their gills will be too dry and they'll die.. ya.. they can't swim and can drown in water.. and they suffocate on land if humidity isn't there..
Food, is the simpliest.. they eat almost anything.. maybe whatever also.. haha. so far, no issue on that.
Right now, i'm just lacking the shells for them to change to.. coz good shells are hard to come by.. lol.. i had a lot when i was a kid.. collected them from msia and kept them for quite some time.. then threw them away as it was of no use anymore (during that time).. now, realised its importance.. but was too late. LOL.. but there is no reason to keep them just hoping that they will be use one day ma.. haha.. such a waste of space lor.
Anyway.. if no choice, then order online lor.. they cost $1 per piece, excluding shipping.
Ya.. still, this "new" hobby really opens up my mind.. lol.. at least when i go interview, i can say i keep hermit crabs as hobby.. lol.. (of coz, the others that i can't say are mj and crubbing.. lol)

Thank You SNCO~
Thank you all.. see, the title also thank SNCO.. so if anyone free enough to search.. they might find.. haha..
Yupz, thanks to my band colleagues for the present they got for me.. haha.. haha.. hahaha.. ya.. it was "haha crabs".. lol. Seriously, they are just hermit crabs.. those small small ones..
LOL.. and i think i can really set up a pet shop soon.. lol.. so now, there are 9 members in the village le.. of which 4 of them belonged to me.. haha.. 4.. maybe 3.. sorry to say but, just now when i took a look at the hermit, one of them seems to be dead.. well, so i did a search and found that the hermit might be molting.. maybe only.. i give it a 20% chance of survival.. of coz, they can live up to 15 years.. but after the search, it seems that they die quite easily.. due to stress, crabitat and other reasons.. hmm.. i'm just quite noob in their crabitat.. so it might take some time for me to really know how.. i hoped they (or it) can last till then.
Of coz, i hoped it is just molting.. and the only way to tell is by smell.. (?).. if not, the thought of a pet dying is quite devestating lor (especially when it didn't have any name yet).. i mean, its just so different.. ya.. different to pest.
So after thanking, i'm quite sorry that the hermit might not make it le... maybe 2 more days and i'll get a confirmed answer.. but till then, i'll leave it where it is.

最冷的是下雨天
Today's FR lecture was so enjoyable! LOL.. the lecturer was telling us so much stories and jokes that i counldn't stop laughing.. haha.. really very funny.. lol.. of coz, i also paid attention to lesson.
Then IM was so much of a contrast.. room was so cold.. maybe coz of the rain ba.. haha.. but really very cold 最美的不是下雨天。。最冷的是下雨天。。anyway, couldn't pay much attention in lecture.. lol.. maybe coz it was the 2nd part of a 6-hour lesson.. lol..
Saturday is a PH.. yay~ and the village plus the whole chocolate factory is going on a trip.. except me and schnauzer pakki.. haha.. so.. 明天就和它相依为命了..
Oh ya.. something i did was finally showing some results.. lol.. yalor.. only 2 weeks, but 2 weeks is quite and achievement wor.. maybe coz i really wanted.
Nowsadays.. really nothing to blog about.. hahaa.. "nothing" wor.. totally nothing.. so anyhow blog nonsense.
Seriously, this is so controversial.. haha.. but as much as i want to write, i think all is much of a facade.. not all, or all not. Ask me what's the use, i seriously don't know.

Medical Review
After 11 months, i'm back to TTSH for the review of my arthritis again.
Some changes to the surroundings, and also the staff and equipment... plus, a new building just outside the MRT station.. lol.. it was still under construction the other time wor.
Don't know why, the hospital seems to be quite busy, with a lot of people.. and most of them are in wheelchairs. The department i went to was as crowded as well.. seems like more and more patients le.. but still, i'm one of the youngest around.. hahaha... how sad.
So today, the specialist told me something new after soooo many years.. that, it could affect my eyes.. wah.. i knew it could run to various places, but the eyes also? Hmm.. really don't know what to say.. lol..
Anyway, nothing much, just to update my doctor about my condition.. it had more or less been like that since the 2nd year.. so i don't expect much changes.. Well, i could be discharged after the next appointment, which is a year from now.. it all depends on the condition ba.

What Werkz?
Brewerkz.
Was at brewerks for chilling and dinning today.. and it was great food and nice brew all the way.
Though it was nothing much of fine dinning, the food and drinks are really nice.. and i think it won't be my last time there.
Was actually there for a little oktoberfest celebration.. plus my own october celebration.. hahaa.. seems like i've declared the whole of october as an excuse to indulge myself in good food and beer.
In fact, oktoberfest is already over la.. hahaha.. i just need an excuse.
Thought i could indulge very much, but in the end, i proved to be more rational that i think i am... haha.. i think really must enjoy the housebrew.. Wow.. and then i'm not done with the praises.. their services are just too good.. lol..
And same with starhub... totally very satisfied with the after service.. coz today i called customer service troubleshoot the scv box, and there are just so much they can do for their customers.. (although what they really did was to replace the box..).. but they offered to send someone over to replace it.. wahhh.. totally impressed.. and it works! But tomorrow might be going down to change it anyways, haha.. coz i didn't want to wait.. LOL..
And i can't say the same for my mp3 player.. totally nothing.. and nothing that lasts.. pui~ Hahahaa.. That didn't work.
So since yesterday, i've been a bit 呆呆的.. don't know why, just want to 放空.. just wondering why about a lot, a lot which i had no control over.. and then i know there is nothing anymore, and so 就呆呆的..
Well being 呆 also works.. and it works better than 胡思乱想.. hahaha.. my recovery rate is so fast these days.. just can shake away a lot of things.. lol..
Of coz, there are things that just keeps coming.. especially the arthritic pain.. lol.. don't know if it's because of the weather.. lol.. if so, when i graduate, i can go work as a Meteorologist le.. haha.. that who can only forecast rainy days.
Somehow, the rain make things seems gloomy leh.. haha.. don't know why.. lol.. but then after the good food and beer, i think i'm happy somehow.. lol.. at least there are still great things in this world.
Of coz, great things and great people too.. lol.. also great pets.. hahaa.... sometimes i just don't know what to say.. but this pakki really did a lot for this family le.. i'm so thankful that we didn't give him up.

Nothing Much
Just thought that i can be quite dumb at times.. and i don't even know how to start.
Anyway, nothing much.. just not feeling really good.. lol.. and i think i jinxed all the electrical appliances in my house le.. the newest addition, my new scv set top box... lol.. so in total, this year i've already caused the aircon, pc, oven, fridge and the scv box to be sent away.. haha.. whats next?
Of coz, things that can be solved with money (provided that i have them) isn't really worth brooding over.. other than the scv box, the rest are all old appliances that are due for replacement.. just that i'm suay enough to last touch it.. haha. So it was nothing much.
Ya.. nothing much left for me to jinx.

What a Surprise~!
Had an early bday celebrations this year, thanks to the dear warlords. ^^
Though it was really a very mini one, i really appreciate it.. and, it was a surprise.. for once, it wasn't anticipated.. and hence was really touched and happy.. haha.. thank you all once again. =)
Then was off to MOS coz of "provision for crubbing" already set aside.. but was very undecided.. haha.. coz i was actually quite tired already after a full day of lesson. Went in the end coz perhaps i was anticipating crubbing for that outing..
Went ahead and was actually joining my friend's friend, and they are opening bottle.. so complimentary entry (or was it paid for i also not sure).. so i ended up paying nothing. Was quite paiseh lor.. haha.. but it was the least expensive crubbing i've ever went.
And the verdict was, i don't think i like going crubbing there coz the main floor crowd was much older than i was.. so was rather out. Also i didn't like the service (if any).. i mean, people really paid a lot.. and i mean really a lot IMO.. and so felt like being shorted.. not a very good impression. LOL.. and i've also learnt something.. i can't really pour mixer well.. lol.. so i excuse pouring next time.. lol.
So this afternoon's lesson, i was a bit late.. ended up had to sit at the last few rows... haha.. and i saw one of the kuulas there.. lol.. so qiao right? And in the end, we all needed binoculars to see what was written on the white board.. lol.. and the person beside me (who isn't my friend) kept asking what was written.. lol.. i said i also couldn't see.. but that person kept asking.. very fan leh. Next time i should sit at the "1st class" sector le.. hahaa.. coz i don't think the LT is suitable for using whiteboards la.. their handwritting is just not big enough.
Late noon lesson was much more boring.. full of tutorial presentations.. and wasn't really that productive lor.. so was quite tired trying to guess what the lecturer is trying to teach us really..
Was very tired today.. really very tired.. no wonder i counldn't think well.

What Drives You?
Trying to find some tinder somewhere and i've discovered, conventional ones won't work. No wonder.
Tired yet insomnious.. perhaps the result of the coffee again.. perhaps other things. I don't know, but it was pulled somehow.. perhaps i don't know anything at all.. i never said i knew anyway. Of coz, it moves in tandem, perhaps of a lesser correlation. I don't need any reason as there isn't any.
These few days, nothing much have changed, only that the portfolio is finally in green.. transaction included. However, there is concern that fed might not lower their rates in the coming adjustment and hence there might be a "correction" soon, if not tomorrow.
Nonetheless, completed some tasks i've set.. and slowly but surely.
Surely, i need to watch "1 litre of tears" again.. or perhaps be reminded. No.. i don't mean washing eyeballs with tears, i can wash it with water well enough. I just felt that it was a very inspiring story.. ask what her misson was, and perhaps she never knew it while alive. How much had her story had inspired? I think there are many.
Pakki is approaching 10 months old.. lol.. and he is as cute as ever, perhaps naughtier. That day he was sleeping in my room while i'm doing some revision.. so i slept late. 6am, and i got a unpleasent morning call from pakki.. haha.. he had woken up and wanted to play.. so he put his face where my face was, and i tio stunned.. whahah.. i never set alarm leh. But i think dogs are just like kids.. their feelings are so real, so devoid of deceit. LOL.. of coz, they never study politics anyway. Heard that my cousin's dog, Coffee is back~! (Pakki is Coffee's cousin.. Tea is not) Hahaa.. finally all is well. I truly understand.. and those who say feelings can be diversified, i think they can go and be investment managers.
The "Lord of the Rings" is heavy at times, that which consumes when abused.. and letting go is not an easy task.. even setting foot out of the Shire is difficult.. but it can be done when it was decided to be done.. ya.. frodo did it. To those who understands.
(Pardon me for the lack of cohesion and mistakes.. lol.. i'm watching champions league while blogging.. haha...)

Denial
First of all, an addition to my extended family.. and i've received an ungrade le.. really become uncle liao.. haha.. yupz.. my cousin have just given birth last month.. and congrats to them~ ^^
Nowsadays, the bull like very fierce wor.. hahaa.. NASDAQ keeps climbing, as with STI.. and there is so much record high over the week.. Oil, Gold and other metals.. only the USD is low. Too bad.. i pay fees using pounds.. not dollars.
Kind of irritated by my notes on IM.. like that how to score lei? I don't understand.. is this a sign to start reading elsewhere?
Been denial over a lot.. a lot a lot.. and a lot more... and i'm more confused than ever. Lots of excuses perhaps, just to cover that.. that which i knew. So i wonder how long can i keep denying.
Anyway, just finished some revision on IM, so de-stress a bit.. hahaa.. 1st chapter only and i'm already moving in such a paranoid state.. but it works nonetheless.
Sometimes i just feel so motivated, only to fall back after a while.. haha.. and so as they say, starting is difficult... carrying on is more difficult. I agree lor.. so i guess by the end of october, i'll be slacking away.
The month of october wor.. time to rejoice.. hahaaa.. nope, i don't mean the national day holiday or such.. but october is always special to me.
Even as i continue my studies, peer pressure is building.. haha.. not that they come and pressure me la.. but seeing them moving on to the working life, i felt so much oblige do so myself.. i guess i'm just being denial.
And of where shall i base my direction on? It will be inevitable to answer the 10-year series question the next year.. and right now, i still have no idea where i should be heading. Sure there is a general direction.. but is it really where i want to go?.. which i will be heading for perhaps the rest of my life? Perhaps i'm just being aimless here.. perhaps it was easier for others to find it.. maybe they are no different from me.. but this is some major decision to be made when it comes.. and i wouldn't want to go elsewhere only to realise what i wanted was only right in front.. So, is it only the destination and not the route taken? the outcome and not the process? And so.. as my age increase, the number of paths too.. sometimes having too much of a choice is not very tempting leh.. haha.. i'm just being denial.
