Kampong

In the end, all the pre holidays dieu were gone, and so i have the luxury to nua at home. Luxury coz i'll be off at the factory after monday's PH.

Watched a bit of kampong soccer on tv (15 mins or so) and really can't tell the team being a representative of one's nation. And even with such 'tactical' employment of 'foreign talents', it still isn't as impressive to that of world class. I mean, you get the people from all over the world.. so what? And not too distant ago, way before the F1, GP, and YOG, there was some sort of goal to goal at 2010.. and now what? Don't ever compare our league with that of other states.. it was said there isn't enough talents to form two parties, what more 10 or more soccer teams? Basically, it's just kampong soccer at different levels. I think the odds are so odd that probability at the pools also can't keep track. I don't mean to be mean, but this is really the case. There are things we just aren't taught or have to luxury to do all day... so don't expect it.

However i still enjoyed any home goal, for it pisses off the other party. LOL.. the more they boo-ed, the more disappointed they will be they they get trashed. And really, nobody is stopping them from following.. i mean, don't be too emotional la.. it really impedes a lot.

And so we won. Or should i say they won? And it don't matter much if they won.. so long as they don't lose.

Oh ya.. by the way, the fishy smell came out from the ISO tank. It's confirmed, it's gone.

Oil Run

Whoa. They said it was a bull run a few days back. Now it was bull sh*t.

The STI ls-ed like nobody's business even though oil eased for quite some time. And strangely enough, it was the easing that caused the bloodshed. Profit being compromised due to a lower crude price.. it shows how cabbage we really are.

And oil, makes man city a serious contender for the title this time round with the injection of funds from new owner. Now they can buy like mad.

While Waiting

Done with my CF at 5am this morning, and in the afternoon, i was back in school for collection of LBO text.

Today was set aside for LBO, but with little success. With CF coiming up, i don't have much space for LBO at the moment. Wondered how i did it with just only 1 day the year before.. haha.. in the end, i got 7 marks for a 3/4 page attempt. LOL..

But this year should be different.

Will the champions league results be different? LOL.. i certaintly hoped so. Why? Coz i place a bet on AC this afternoon.. whahaha.. but sian, i got a lowered odds.. for the same asset. Which makes me wonder, as i did in all previous years of exams, can i create a risk free portfolio of soccer bets? LOL.. just kidding.

Waiting for champions league to start.. so quite bored now..

Holidays without work is sian. Work le also sian. Study also sian. Lol.. nothing to do except to nua at home. My forte i guess.

Mapling too much until i want to puke le.. haha.. now what? It seems to have tons of unfinished business to clear before the end of exams. Suddenly, it all disappeared.

Especially sian was that wc took a short holidays.. match will only resume tomorrow.. and i might be out in town to watch a match.. finally! Hmm.. beer and all.. this is perhaps, the kind of life that i yearn for.

And just that, ex vp reminded me.. another wc tomorrow morning.. wahhaa.. world ts cup.. 9.30am sharp in SIM.. whaha.. but i might be late.. lol.. after so long.. finally get to touch ts again. Will be in school for the handing over of SRC.. lol.. how many times they want to hand over? Lol.. but on account of the free buffet lunch.. i'll be there definately! Heard from the current excos that they did not receive any invitation.. hmm.. then who are we going to hand over to? Maybe it's a facade? Whaha.. get us all back to clear up the SRC room.. just kidding..

Tomorrow will be a busy day.. woot~ (learn from sher 1.. whahaa..)

Sigh.. and other than sleeping, online and watching tv, i don't think i've been doing anything constructive. How wasteful of time. But i really don't know what to do.. and i don't feel like doing anything.. since when.. i think my brain freezes already.

Betting Intermediation

Match between Australia and Japan just ended in a 3 - 1 in favour of the Kangaroos.. and that all happened in the last 10 mins.. i think those that bet Japan will flip in the last 10 mins.. hahaa.. i wonder how the bookies are doing.

But as they are, they do perform the job of matching.. lol.. similar to that of Financial Institutes (eg. Banks) where they match loans and deposits of different interest rates. For the bookies, it'll be matching the odds. As such, i conclude, bookies will make good bankers! Haha.. they also perform the main functions of banks, which includes the collection and analysing of ingformation. They also provides the function of brokerage without altering the nature of the claim. The only thing different.. they don't really alter the claim (or rather, the bet) in any way. In banks, maturity and liquidity is transformed.. for example, a short term liquid depsit to a long term illiquid loan. But for the bookies, in goes money, out comes money.. and the bookie profits from the way they position their odds. (more related to interest rate than intermediation)

Another thing that i've observed.. is that, you could actually hedge your bet! Haha.. but for what reason in betting, is maybe an obsession with hedging (which means no win and no lose).. and maybe in the end, there'll be not much time to source out all the available odds and information.. this, in theory is possible.. but i guess nobody will want to forfeit the profit..

All in all, actually there is still much differences between these two worlds.. if not, all bookies can be bankers liao.. for what be bookie and get caught?

And for me, my obsession is which FI for the moment.. and as such, tried ways to twist an irrelevant subject to something much interesting.. to whatever effects, i don't know.. just hope that i'll pass FI and get into the 2nd round perhaps. That should spare me the agony of a 4th year in school.

GE Over

POA paper! Ooo.. i'm so excited.. haha.. not really confident though.. coz my memory is constantly failing me.. and then i forgot so much from the theory aspect.. don't ask me.. i only know how to do.. don't know how to explain. But i won't have high hopes.. as a result of slacking over past weekend.

Was in school last saturday.. and surprised at how many people had "by-pass" me without knowing that i was there.. lol.. all because i was botak. Saw some of the SRC people and Warlordians... and they didn't see me.. Haha.. seems to be the hairstyle of the month due to the exams stress.. lol.. it really saves much time on drying and styling.. (if there is any to be done)... try to spot me in the expo afterwards.. hahaha..

Sunday and JJ and ML came Thomson for visit.. lol.. it was another weight gaining experience.. but then i had eaten too much "heaty" stuffs these few days.. so didn't eat that much prata. Btw, seaweed fries is no longer in sale again.. sigh.. but glad that i had 2 packets at one go the week before.. lol.

Sadly, spurs lost their 4th position.. kind of expected it.. with that kind of injury in the squard.. it'll be difficult to win.. but to lose.. aiyo.. i think they might need to wait another year.

Finally GE is over.. yeah.. erm.. but then the result is just the same as before.. win means win, lose mean lose.. who cares by how much? Too concerned will only "dui si" (hammer until die).. imagine losing by just 50 votes? haha.. heard that the James guy kena arrested or something like that.. whahaa... that was swift.. and suay he didn't win.. or that wouldn't happen. And another trend... it seems like people vote for parties rather than for person.. except in the case of the opposition ward. Coz overall, the percentage is more or less constant throughout.. i can understand why they are disappointed.. and it seems much of the votings are in the hands of the youngsters now.. as the oldies left this world.. less of those that witnessed the hardship of our founders are left. What we had here is those that are sick and tired of this "boring" democracy. And not to mention those few which were affected by certain policies.. of coz they remember to pay back la.. eg. those missed out on certain "benefits" due to age.. or that certain period that disqualifies them.. and not forgetting.. they are the few that will vote the next time round.. lol.

Oppostition ward got "carrots".. what about this GRC? no opposition means no carrot meh? I want carrot lor.. and i pity those in the west.. they won't get a chance to vote.. reason being, the population density.. imagine having to cover such vast piece of land in just 9 days.. lol.. not very possible.. but i can't seems to find the reason for the walk over at my side.. sigh.. why? We don't have a PM as our mp here.. neither do we have Foreign minister as our mp.. and yet nobody wants to challenge.. sigh.. when will i get to vote?

So we were saying.. why don't we have all SMCs? In SMCs, we get to see the popularity one on one.. but then, at SMCs, its easy to lose it.. get enough people buay song only, out you go.. lol.. i won't be surprised to see a 84 member GRC in the future.. wahaha... then everybody gets to vote/not vote together.. like that then is democracy!

But i do agree.. having too many oppositions will hinder decisions.. right and wrong ones.. coz the job of the oppositions is, as their name suggests, to oppose. Hahaa... the point is.. not happy with what we have doesn't mean that the alternative will be better.. as it always is, the pasture SEEMS to be greener on the other side.. seems only.. sometimes not really. But then, GE 2006 is over... not much have changed.. and actually no change.

Anticipating the next GE.. and of coz, the next world cup too! But for them to meet again.. is like 20 years later? LoL.. Just realised that i could be missing out 15 matches from the league tables due to my last paper.. sigh.. anyway, time to go through my notes 1 last time before the POA later.. last time - Good luck to everyone for this coming exam!
