Insight

I need to balance with something constructive..

So that day my one and only customer came to settle some invoice. While i can't increase the sales figure, i do gain a lot just from the conversation. Seems to me that the customers had really quite a bit of ink somewhere. Though i selective sieve though the info, there are some really worth taking note of.

Within a day, i asked the rest of the staff whether the idea would work.. and really they are quite supportive. Well.. almost all. And then i realised why this system would work. It is something really quite common indeed. The best thing is, it works, and there is no need to give any training to staffs. While the computer is really powerful, it just takes too long to implement and train. Why not turn to the pen and paper? Just some modification, the pen and paper can be as powerful.

The customer told me, "use 20% of the time to solve 80% of the problem", and not the other way round. I guess i tend to be much of a perfectionist at times.. and given that this world is not perfect, i would never succeed in my quest for a 100% efficient system. So long as the bulk is taken care of, the time and energy can be channelled elsewhere.

Another thing is that we really do lack the drive. Perhaps the comfort zone is so big that we fail to realise.

Something to ponder.
