Was struggling with a dying "mouse" (CPU mouse) due to excessive mapling.. and while i pulled at its cords, it went officially dead at around 1am. And armed only with the keyboard, the computer is almost totally handicapped.. what more could i do but to study? LOL.. couldn't sleep, and LBO came next. It was then 5 am.. and my mind was flooded with Salomon v Salomon.. and for this morning, i slept till 11am.. coz i knew i couldn't maple with keyboard alone.. yes, Alt Tab, Ctrl + Alt + Del works.. and only till there..
So i dug out any "dead" mouse i could find.. and... i found 2! During test, 1 couldn't scroll up and down (that is useless) and the other had no response.. so i "opertated" on the one that couldn't scroll.. and found out that one of the chip controlling the up down scroll had corroded.. no wonder.. and since i didn't have any soldering equipment at home.. there was nothing i could do..

Before the OPs..
Very tempted to install MS on my sis's laptop.. but then, confirm will get butter when she comes home.. lol.. and didn't want to get another mouse.. i want an optical and wireless one (TP didn't sell them.. ).. so watched tv till 3pm.. till i decided to "mix and match" the mice.. lol. It was just a faulty wire on mouse no. 1, and just a corroded chip on mouse no.2.. (btw, mouse no. 3 is not mine.. it's my sis's.. didn't dare to do anything to it.. lol).. so i opened them up.. thinking i'm a tian cai.. but then.. the plugs are different! One has a six pin plug, the other had a five pin slot.. didn't want to cut the wires up.. (it's not reliable that way.. the wires are just too fine..) so i cut out the extra pin plug.. and force the whole thing into the slot.. and.. it worked like a charm~ Whahahaa.. and hopefully, today is the last day of being a full time mapler.. lol.. but nevertheless, happy for fixing my mouse and saving $1 in the process.. (its not the money.. its the sense of satisfaction la..) Ya.. there are $1 mouse out there.. haha.. i know i know..
